Our Mission:
The SOS Foundation awakens community-minded individuals and social-cause businesses to the potential for improving the lives of all those they touch, regardless of the local area where they reside.
How we achieve our mission:
SOS accomplishes this through a proven, systematized approach using updated, internet-based and localized resources, combined with a "hands on" consultative approach - all within a real-world business setting.
We plan to offer training and/or re-training to former -or retired- military personnel in the areas of new business start-up, internet business activity and housing planning/construction opportunities.
We will offer and provide foundational (re)education designed to lead quickly into specific employment and/or enhanced social-business opportunity depending on the needs of the individual or the social-business within their chosen field.
Our Business Advantages:
We have knowledge of fund-raising and internet-based business practices far in advance of most other non-profits.
We can solicit donations not just through normal channels but via the internet using strategic email campaigns combined with social media and cutting edge mobile giving platforms.
· We can apply for grants.
· We can receive donations and give full IRS benefits to all donors
Of tax deductible funds
Of donors' surplus inventory written off at above fire-sale prices
Of "in-kind" support (such as labor, equipment, and software)
Of volunteer labor (that can become "paid" using the SOS model)
· We can offer/sell products in support of "fund-raising", and market them to other NPs.
· We can design projects to benefit our community and the mutually beneficial goals of our donors.
· We can develop programs and concepts to be made available to other non-profits, for their own benefit.
· We can sub-contract project tasks to third-party vendors.
· We can recruit needed volunteer help.
· We have full use of real estate broker's license.
· We can offer fee based services, such as:
Fiscal sponsorship; Virtual-office/outsourced fulfillment; Advertising and promotion with web based and traditional methods; Consulting on "best practices" and "how-to" services.
We bring the knowledge/gameplan of how best to combine the non profit and for profit worlds for the most impact and return for all involved.
And most of all, we can empower all those that choose to ally with us for the benefit of many...
